1706 College Plaza 8215-112St NW Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8
Patients with cirrhosis can experience frequent hospitalizations which can significantly impact their quality of life. There are a number of things patients can do to better manage their cirrhosis and improve their quality of life. This project is part of the Cirrhosis Care Alberta (CCAB) program, a province-wide study aimed at improving the quality of care for patients with cirrhosis.

In this project, the successful applicant will work with our diverse and enthusiastic research team to work with the CCAB patient advisory team and video animator to develop and evaluate the use of a novel patient discharge education video on cirrhosis. Throughout this project there will be the opportunity to develop research skills such as storyboarding, creation of videos, qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, as well as familiarity with research processes. Experience with storyboarding and video creation is considered an asset. As this position is contingent on funding, applicants will be expected to apply for studentship awards (which our team will help to facilitate).
